Custom Fishing

Learn the fundamentals of PeanutSMP’s custom fishing system and progress toward becoming a fishing master.

Custom fishing is an in-game mechanic that allows players to catch fish that do not exist in vanilla Minecraft. These fish feature custom textures, names, and weights, and can be sold at any time at the /fishmarket.

#Getting Started

All fishing-related features are handled dynamically through the /fish menu. From here, you can access the Fishing Index, Fishing Catalogue, Fish Market, and your Fishing Bag.

  • Fishing Index – Track and view all fish you’ve discovered.

  • Fishing Catalogue – Spend your shark tails on fishing-related rewards.

  • Fish Market – Sell fish and other fishing-related items.

  • Fishing Bag – Retrieve fishing items when your inventory is full.

#Fishing Rarities

Custom fish on PeanutSMP have unique rarity tiers known as Silver Star and Golden Star fish.

You can increase your chances of catching higher-tier fish by using special fishing rods available in the Fishing Catalogue.
